Alexander Starr serves as Vice President of the Trusts and Estates department at Freeman's. Prior to joining Freeman's in 2022, Alexander spent time at several auction houses and galleries in New York. He works closely with estate lawyers, fiduciaries, and other key contacts in the wealth management industry to secure consignments for single-owner and multi-category sales.

Alexander studied philosophy and art history at the University of Pennsylvania, where he focused on contemporary and American art. His early auction experience in New York included cataloguing and client development within the Contemporary and Trusts and Estates departments. He then launched and directed a gallery location in New York on behalf of a Mexico-based Latin American contemporary art gallery. He also served as an art consultant and brand ambassador for an international gallery focused on contemporary Asian art headquartered in New York. While there, he acted as an art consultant for international clientele and served as a brand ambassador while traveling to art fairs throughout the world.
