An unusual archaic style Chinese jade "Bi" disc 双头云纹与蒲纹仿古玉璧一件
18th /19th century or earlier 十八至十九世纪或更早

The disc with a circular perforation in the center, crisply carved in relief on one side with a dense pattern of small raised bosses neatly arranged in an hexagonal grid pattern, the other side meticulously carved with an pattern of continuous interlocking double-head scrolls, all within a raised border at the outer and inner edges, the lustrously polished semi-translucent stone of a grey-white tone with russet-tinged veins and paler inclusions; with later metal stand, brocade box.
