Meissonier, seven vignettes by Jean-Antoine-Valentin Foulquier, and two steel engraved portraits after Meissonier. Full scarlet crushed morocco, elaborately tooled in gilt; white moire silk endleaves and doublures; all edges gilt; original stiff printed wrappers bound in. Book-plate on verso of front free endpaper, old bookseller's ticket in Cyrillic in Russian language on rear free endpaper; blindstamp in Cyrillic in Russian language in top corner of title-page. A fine copy.
