A Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze figure of Bhaishajyaguru 鎏金铜药师佛造像
18th century 十八世纪

The Medicine Buddha seated in vajraparyankasana on a double-lotus throne with beaded edges, the right hand extended in varadamudra and holding a lotus spray, the left hand in dhyanamudra and supporting a small vessel; with outer robes draped over the left shoulder and cascading in voluminous folds around the feet, the hems finely incised with floral motifs, the baseplate with a double vishvavajra, with later associated wood stand.
