A Chippendale carved walnut high chest
Southeastern Pennsylvania, circa 1770

The upper section with molded top, three short drawers over two small drawers over three graduated long drawers, and fluted quarter columns to corners, the lower section with generous molding along top edge, one long drawer over three short drawers, canted and fluted corners, shaped apron, cabriole legs with shell-carved knees, on ball-and-claw feet.
