Note

John Burrill (1657-1721) descended from George Burrill, an early settler of Lynn, Massachusetts. His parents were John and Lois Ivory Burrill. In 1680, he married Mary Stower (1654-1728). He was an active member of his community, serving several roles in the civic arena. Most notably, he served in the House of Representatives. John, also an active church member, bequeathed this beaker, along with a few other pieces, to his parish, the First Church of Christ, upon his death in 1721.
