Note

Pioneering graffiti writer and founding member of West Coast Artists (WCA), RISK’s work is an arresting collage of familiar and far-reaching sources. The present lot, luminous neon glass tubes against a field of repurposed license plates, explores the intersections between street art, Southern California surf and car culture, and rock and roll. Music, integral to RISK’s pedigree and process, is celebrated in the graceful curves of the neon – a lyrical re-imagining of both found objects and fine art.
