A near-complete set of art critic Christian Zervos's monumental catalogue raisonné of Pablo Picasso. Begun by Zervos in the early 1930s in partnership with Picasso himself, the project became Zervos's life's work, and took over four decades to complete. Picasso was intimately involved with the production and arrangement of the set, as well as the more than 16,000 listed pieces of art. An indispensable guide and reference for the artist's work. The long publication history of this work outlived both Zervos and Picasso, who were both dead by the time the final volume was published in 1978.
