Large and Impressive KPM white ground porcelain vase
late 19th/early 20th century

The central scene showing eighteenth-century figures at leisure in a garden framed by a gilt surround comprising latticework and foliated scrolls, the reverse painted to show a lady and gentleman playing "Blind Man's Buff", with shaped medallions throughout the body painted in mono- and polychrome tones depicting various serenades and courting couples, raised on gilt metal mounted hexagonal base, each side panel depicting similar scenes, bears overglaze blue KPM mark to underside of the socle.

H: 47, W: 18, D: 8 in.

Provenance: From the collection of Robert and Barbara Safford, removed from Vaux Hill, Pennsylvania.
