A Chinese jade carving of a mythological animal 瑞兽玉雕
Possibly Six Dynasties/Tang 或为六朝至唐代

Depicting a recumbent lion-like beast with thick scrolled eyebrows, wide, round eyes, and large scrolled nose, all on a flat face, straight mane ending in scrolls, in between two leaf-shaped ears to the sides of head, along with a broad fan-form tail on the back; the stone of yellowish-celadon with mottled beige inclusions.

H: 2 in., L: 2 1/2 in.
