Freeman’s is delighted to present works from the Estate of Philip D. Jamison, Jr., celebrated Philadelphia artist who passed away in 2021 at age 96. Known for realistic watercolor landscapes and cityscapes like 5th Ave at 57th Street and Pennsylvania Farm (lot 65), Jamison’s work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hirschl and Adler, the National Academy of Design, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Works from the Estate by Early Horter (lot 66), Hobson Pittman (lots 73-74), and Arthur Beecher Carles (lots 76-80) reflect Jamison’s commitment to nurturing the Philadelphia art community.
