Debrah Dunner serves as Freeman’s Representative for the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, serving the greater Capital region, including Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District. A specialist in Fine Art, she is an accredited personal property appraiser who facilitates the consignment of high-quality objects for clients who are interested in stewarding them to another collector.

Debrah joined Freeman’s in 2020 following more than fifteen years of combined education and professional experience working in both the private and public art world. Equipped with an MA in Art and Business, Dunner is trained to not only be able to assess personal property and determine its characteristics of value, but also to understand its value in the context of a secondary market.

More about Debrah

Debrah graduated with dual Bachelors of Fine Art in Art History and Art Education from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, and established her background in Fine Art and Contemporary American Craft while attending school and working at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She continued her education at Georgetown University receiving a Masters of Art degree through Georgetown’s Museum Studies program, a specialized and unique partnership curriculum with the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London.

Debrah is an accredited Associate Member (AM) of the American Society of Appraisers, and has successfully completed the American Society of Appraisers Personal Property Education Course through the Rhode Island School of Design, along with the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course taught by an Appraisal Standards Board (ASB)-certified National USPAP instructor.  She is also a member of ArtTable and the American Craft Council. She is a former recipient of a National Scholastic Art and Writing Award Gold Key, and a Women’s in the White House and Leadership Award.
